Your opportunity Our Montreal office is looking for a Bilingual Senior Manager, Transaction Services to join our Deal Advisory team and own the following responsibilities: Lead financial due diligence engagements aimed at supporting private equity funds and corporates with their investment and divestiture decisions, Analyze financial/operational results such as income statements, cash flow, working capital, capex, and net debt and conduct interviews with management to generate meaningful insights to support our clients’ investment thesis and identifying key deal risks and opportunities Lead the preparation and review of deal-focused reports and presentations for clients highlighting key findings and the drivers / risks to earnings and cash-flows Identify post-acquisition action steps to achieve anticipated earnings/cash flow improvements and evaluate effects of seasonality on cash flow requirements; perform industry and company research Lead project management and deal teams for successful execution of engagements and positive client outcomes Coach, develop and mentor staff for high performance and contribute to a learning environment Generate new business opportunities within the Financial Advisory Services practice and BDO in general, developing long-term relationships and networks Be entrepreneurial in nature to drive growth and practice management in our growing team How do we define success for your role?
You will understand the industries BDO services and contribute to the group’s advancement.
You will ensure work is complete, accurate and appropriately reviewed by maintaining the necessary technical knowledge and professional development.
You will recommend and implement quality or efficiency improvements to our engagements.
You will actively engage in communication with people leaders to ensure understanding of performance and development, while identifying and attracting top talent.
You will support our firm’s revenue growth by referring clients to other services lines and new clients to BDO.
Your experience and education Existing CPA designation required, CBV or CFA an asset Minimum of 5 years of deal experience in either financial due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance or corporate development, some of which must have been at a supervisory level Familiarity with international and US markets is considered an asset Experience with VBAs, Macros, Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI an asset Experience managing multi-dimensional teams Desire to be a leader in a high growth, building business Motivated, detail-oriented, autonomous, rigorous and able to work under pressure Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas.
