POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION Direct the Sales efforts across Canada to maximize both volume and revenue, while identifying further development opportunities and achieving the goals of the company.
Lead the sales team by encouraging customer focus, individual development, collaboration, and an environment for process improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the effective managing and directing of the Canadian sales team .
Define the annual budget and sales strategy in conjunction with Management, taking into account market developments and commercial actions plans.
Develop and maintain business action plans and implement management tools to follow sales teams’ performance.
Lead the sales team, monitor (volume, revenue, regulations, and litigation files) and develop sales teams’ customers’ portfolio in conjunction with the Regional Managers.
Communicate, train, guide and motivate members of the sales team Follow up on market developments and continuously identify new competitors and customers and new market opportunities – for dry, reefers, Global & Regional Accounts, Break bulk activities, etc.
Develop and analyse market/ competition information and statistics for Management and Head Office.
Drive and implement actions to achieve the performances goals (KPI’s) given by the General Management/HO.
Ensure the implementation, monitoring and understanding of business rules and processes of the team while collaborating with the other departmental Managers Responsible to define the strategy and execution of Cross-sell of supply chain activities based on Group’s objectives Based on current market share, dynamics of the market, the potential to generate revenue and the potential to secure volumes, present/ develop new proposals and conduct business studies for creation of services and line developments.
Ensure your team is well versed and importance is placed on group value added services Establish and follow up on focus and target accounts.
Regularly liaise with your sales management team.
You represent the business interests of the company.
