IT Specialist


This is a Full-Time position in New Orleans, LA posted November 23, 2022.

*This is NOT a remote position.*This position requires full United States Citizenship.DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES:Primary responsibilities are ensuring timely and high-quality service to Boeing end users of the information technology at the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in New Orleans, LA with the potential for temporary support at the Stennis Space Center. A relocation allowance is not available.All Points supports an 18 hr x 7 day/week work schedule. This position is slated for 1st shift operations but employee may occasionally be asked to support other shifts / days.The support includes:Tier 2 IT support, answering calls/emails to provide End User troubleshooting and problem solving (hands-on and remote) including device configuration, general network and VPN connections to Boeing network. Responsible for creating, updating, and closing tickets in the Boeing ticketing system with potential to duplicate within the NASA system for non-Boeing system issues.Responsible for data collection, analysis, and report generation of performance metricsLoading images and deploying new computing devices to users or locationsMaintaining property inventory and reconfiguring computing devicesSupporting Video Tele Conference (VTC) setups to ensure rooms are ready prior to meeting startCoordinating/interacting with non-Boeing organizations (i.e., NASA, DCMA, NASA contractor, etc.) located at the facility, when needed, to ensure technical services operate as planned and any problems get resolved.Developing, reviewing, and following processes and procedures.Being a team player by delivering on our job responsibilities, helping others on the team, treating everyone with respect, and active participation in team meetings to address status of open work items.EDUCATION:AA Degree in work or completed in an IT field of study.YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:5+ YearsSKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:United States Citizenship RequiredRequires excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to successfully work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team environment with limited supervisionKnowledge of a broad range of information technology including software, operating systems, telecommunications, and hardware available to be applied to the customer needs.Advanced knowledge of methods/tools used to troubleshoot IT system problems.Ability to logically analyze systems and/or programming problems and develop satisfactory solutions.Must be able to lift 30+ lbs. and physically fit to work the multi-acre plant floorCertifications, e.g., CompTIA A+ and Dell Certifications are a plusSECURITY CLEARANCE:NACI/Badging background investigationPosition with All Points are Full-time, Direct, and we offer a full benefit package.
