Head of Audit (IT and Change)

Location Chatham, Kent, United Kingdom, United Kingdom About the team We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of IT Audit , focusing on Technology and Change risks, to join our expanding and high performing Group Internal Audit (GIA) team.

The role will provide the right individual the opportunity to shape how IT assurance is delivered across the Group.

You will bring experience and professionalism to be a confident ambassador for internal audit, providing constructive value added input to senior stakeholders on a real-time basis.

The role has the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis and can be based in Wolverhampton or Chatham with approximately a 30% requirement for travel between offices (London, Midlands, South East England and potentially to India).

What you will be doing As Head of IT Audit you will be take a lead in co-ordinating and effectively managing the team resources and delivery of the IT audit plan and related activities.

As a functional audit specialist, you will be a key contributor to ensuring standards and procedures are followed, resolving complex problems and working with the wider team on process improvements.

As Head of IT Audit , you will be responsible for: Develop the annual technology risk assessment process and recommend an appropriate annual IT audit plan Actively project managing the delivery of the IT audit plan Deliver quality risk-based, value adding audits and reviews in line with existing methodologies.

Develop and maintain strong business relationships with IT and Change management.

Provide support and coaching to the wider team on coverage of IT controls.

Business monitoring and committee attendance as required, developing any necessary audit response Manage co-source partners and supervise Audit Managers through the audit process
– from scoping to draft reports.

Could you be the one?

We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below: A broad range of IT knowledge and experience (gained either from previous operational or assurance / risk management roles) Strong demonstrable experience of auditing Technology functions and producing internal audit reports and/or experience within another IT assurance / risk management role where required to identify complex IT risks and controls.

Knowledge and experience in IT standards and control frameworks, such as ITIL, COBIT or NIST.

Expertise in the following IT Domains: Information security, IT governance and frameworks, System development life cycle, Change management, Cyber security, Operational resilience and business continuity and Cloud Security.

Strong experience of using data analytics to support audit delivery.

Be able to confidently influence others and build professional business relationships at all levels including executives, showing your proven subject matter expertise and influencing skills.

Professional qualification in IT Internal Audit, such as CISA / CISM /CISSP or similar is essential.
