This is a Full-Time position in Geneva, IL posted November 25, 2022.

Starting Pay: $21.52/hr. + OT Pay + Weekly Pay + Full benefits DAY 1

*** Set Schedules – No Rotating Shifts – OT Scheduled 1 Week in Advance ***


  • $21.52/hr. (combined average wage).

  • 3rd shift position from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am (starting Sunday night).
  • 5 days a week (Monday to Friday).
  • You may be required to work overtime, and days off as needed and come in early or stay late depending on production demands.

In this position you must understand and execute storeroom functions, inventory management, and parts distribution. This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness, and the ability to perform job duties with little direction on a daily basis. Tool Crib Attendants report to the Maintenance Manager, but may receive specific direction from a Maintenance Supervisor, Planner or Buyer.

Our Geneva, IL facility is currently hiring a Tool Crib Attendant to work in our fast-paced facility. You will be responsible for various tasks and responsibilities that include the following:

Primary Duties

  • Performs cycle counts and adjusts inventory.
  • Picking / kitting / staging jobs by work order.
  • Delivers parts to maintainers on job site.
  • Prepares items for shipping.
  • Receives parts.
  • Puts away / stocks parts.
  • Records parts issue in inventory system.
  • Prepares materials for maintenance equipment shutdowns.
  • Identifies inactive stores items and performs appropriate disposition.
  • Maintains free issue & consumable items (that are not vendor managed).
  • Maintains stock rotation and any special storage requirements.
  • Re-arranges storeroom parts to maintain storage efficiency.
  • Labels shelves, bins, and parts as required.
  • Processes parts returns to the storeroom.
  • Provides basic storeroom security.
  • Maintains target service levels.
  • Operates bar-code scanner and software.
  • Processes repairable parts.
  • Housekeeping and 5S.
  • Participates in physical inventories.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all safety standards including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirator).
  • Attends safety and other meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to stand/walk for long period of time.
  • Ability to work in a hot environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to physically bend, stoop, and reach in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Computer skills are necessary to learn and operate inventory systems (e.g. Maximo), MS Outlook, and basic MS Excel.
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of working experience in manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to come in early or stay late depending on production demands.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE.
  • Ability to understand and follow all safety, quality and production specifications and instructions, both written and verbal.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
  • Forklift certification or experience preferred, but not required.
  • Qualified applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident card holder. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Tool Crib Attendants are key people to help the organization achieve inventory system accuracy, on-time cycle counting and cycle count accuracy. Tool Crib Attendants are expected to:

  • Receive parts in inventory system (Maximo) the same day as physically received.
  • Provide support for accurate item data and for a stable and effective replenishment process.
  • Track and report appropriate transaction metrics.
  • Propose changes to existing storeroom physical layout (approval needed prior to reorganization).
