Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator 2,500 Sign on Bonus

The Site Safety Coordinator Intern will assist the Safety Coordinator in planning, implementing and supervising project safety, assure accident and fire protection programs are in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local program standards.

• Proficiency with tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data
• Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing necessary information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and safety regulations
• Participates in EHS committee meetings
• Trained Supervisor (STS)
• Working knowledge of CFR Rule 29 Part 1910 and part 1926 (OSHA 30-hour Certification Preferred)
• Must be familiar with manufacturing industry operations and the General Duty clauses Hazard Communication Standards

Requirements

• Schedules and coordinates all required inspections related to environmental and health safety on campus
• Presents programs to various organizations on campus, with an emphasis on health and safety
• Serve as HSE training coordinator, including new hire orientations, tool and equipment training, weekly toolbox safety instruction, OSHA 10 hour and supervisory safety training
• Prepares summaries, inspection forms, interpretation, for field operations on the requirements of new or existing OSHA, DOT, or other regulations
• File reports to workers compensation provider and OSHA
• Ensure compliance with all governmental agencies including OSHA, DOT, CalOSHA, ANSI and WA L&I
• Maintain relationships between company and outside agencies such as OSHA, L&I
• Lead the plant Safety Program
• Contribute to all functions of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Talent (SQDCT) for plant operations
• Complete machine acceptance/validation
